Cults, World Religions and the Occult

by Kenneth Boa

Almost every day you hear of a new religion-or rediscover an old one. It used to be that you only heard of these religions when missionaries spoke at your church. Now their followers send missionaries to our doorsteps. In Cults, World Religions, and the Occult-a revised and expanded version of the best-selling Cults, World Religions, and You-Ken Boa explains:

  • The history of each religious movement
  • The distinctive teachings of each
  • How their followers live
  • How you can respond to these spiritual counterfeits with biblical truth and compassion

It's all arranged in a handy easy-to-understand guide designed to provide precise and pertinent information when you need it.

The Book of Acts

Luke wrote the book of Acts as a testament to the explosive spread of the gospel and the rapid growth of the church after Christ’s ascension. Beginning with the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on Pentecost when the church was born, he shows how Christ empowered His followers with divine authority to preach the gospel to all nations. Luke also shows how, even in the midst of persecution and opposition, the early believers were able to rely on God’s spirit for direction and continue with the work He had given them to do. God showed His infinite power regardless of the circumstances, just as He continues to do today.

Anxious for Nothing

Featured Book

Anxious for Nothing

by Max Lucado

Anxious for Nothing invites readers to delve into Philippians 4:6-7:  Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

In the characteristic tone of his previous books like You’ll Get Through This and Fearless, Max guides readers through this Scripture passage and explains the key concepts of celebrationasking for helpleaving our concerns, and meditating. He has also written a companion children’s book I’m Not A Scaredy Cat showing kids, in a fun way, that godly bravery can get them through any fears or worries.

Stop letting anxiety rule the day. Join Max on the journey to true freedom and experience more joy, clarity, physical renewal, and contentment by the power of the Holy Spirit. Anxiety comes with life. But it doesn't have to dominate your life.

4-Wheel Drive Club

Outdoor Adventure

Narrow Road 4 x 4

The Narrow Road 4x4 club is a group of people who like to get out on some 4 wheel drive roads and enjoy God's beautiful creation. We pick the road based on the vehicles and experience of the people going. Most trips are on easy 4 wheel drive roads. Some roads we have done include: 7 Mile, Old Flowers Road, Crystal Mountain, Kelly Flats, Bunt School Road, and Green Ridge . Bring the family, a sack lunch, and your 4 wheel drive vehicle. Meet us in the church parking lot for scheduled runs.

"Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and NARROW the ROAD that leads to life, and only a few find it." Matthew 7:13-14
